Pittore veneto attivo tra la fine del XVII secolo e gli inizi inizi del XVIII

Knights in a forest near a hill

oil on canvas
cm 38x62

This painting has been attributed to the Venetian painter Antonio Marini (Venice 1668โ€“1725), who, during his stay in Florence at the Medici court, was strongly influenced by the stylistic characteristics of Salvator Rosa's landscapes. These influences are evident in the landscape section of the painting, which also reflects the traditional chromatic choices of Pieter Mulier, known as Tempesta.
